More About The OMNI Blender
With the OMNI V Blender the complete 3 hp blender will fit with its 2 liter 64oz polycarbonate container under your kitchen cabinets, just like the Blendtec HP3A blender (see picture to the right). A tamper made out of wood (poplar dowel) is provided for free of charge. It is not for stirring or for breaking any forming of air pockets above the blade. This tamper tool is there for emergencies only, just in case if you do get stuck and need such a tool. You should not ever use a spoon, fork, or your hand to clear the blade. Besides, it makes a great sword toy.
Best of all, the OMNIBLEND V Blender 2 liter 64oz container can be used on any Vita Mix and 3.5 hp commercial Waring blenders (Waring blenders need to be equipped with an additional pad...call 801-623-3225). The Vita Mix and Waring blender containers can also be used with a perfect fit on the OMNI Blender. This means you can have a 2 liter 64oz OMNI container or a 2 liter 64oz Vita MIx container, or both, and even a BPA-Free container, if that is important to you. ABOUT THE Container: The OMNI Container has markings up to 50oz but has really the space of a 2 liter/64oz container. And of course, the OMNI Blender does not have the same brand name recognition as the Vita Mix, but the Vita Mix also costs significantly more money. And if you do want a Vita Mix blender, perhaps you want to go to "CHOOSE" to find out what strategy you might want to consider to choose your perfect High Performance Blender that fits into your budget.
Please note: cookbook or how-to-recipes are currently not available for this blender. I am developing how-to videos and recipes, posted on this website. But you can also find hundreds of free recipes on the Vitamix Website.
Introducing the OMNI Blenders
VIDEOS (Click); The 3 hp OMNIBLEND Blenders are assembled in China, but the components are made in Taiwan . The Taiwanese manufacturer has been in business for a few decades and is a 9001 ISO-certified engineering and blender production firm. They make basically 3 different models and 6 different configurations total. JTC / OMNI Blenders come either with a 2 liter 64oz polycarbonate square container (with flat lid) or a 64oz / 2 liter polycarbonate container (with a square hood rubber lid). The later container looks very much alike the Vita Mix 64oz container. The square 2 liter 64oz container comes with the OMNIBLEND V Blender Package that we sell, and it fits nicely under your kitchen cabinet on your counter-top, measuring from top to bottom 16.5 inches total.
The OMNIBlend I has an on/off toggle switch, a variable speed knob in the center and to the right an override pulse toggle spring-loaded switch. This OMNI I blender also comes without the center-variable speed turning knob.
And the blender that we offer is the OMNIBLEND V Heavy Duty Professional 3 hp Blender. It comes with 3 buttons for slow, medium, and fast speed selections. The OMNI V, in our opinion, does not resemble the Vita Mix 5200 blender look at all, although the Vita Mix 32 oz and the 64oz Tritan Containers (BPA-FREE) fit perfectly on the OMNIBlend V and make a great addition to this blender, just in case you want a bigger container. The cooling and sound dampening system in the motor base is efficient and substantially unique with enhanced cooling and dampening effects to prevent overheating. The OMNI V runs powerful with 3 hp strength but its speed is about the same as a 2 hp Vitamix blender (i.e. TB 4500 blender).
The Omni V is a powerful commercial blender equipped also with a timer function for 35 seconds, 60 seconds, and 90 seconds count-downs for making ice-cream, soups, smoothies, etc... anything that requires a timer function. You can just turn on the OMNIBlender on high with the 90 second timer and make raw soup, or your favorite smoothie...
According to the Underwriters Laboratory (UL), the OMNI blenders are equipped with an energy-efficient self-compensating 3 hp blender motor. This means that the Watt consumption changes according to the power demand. And it does this much more efficient than most other blenders. This extra power reserve translates into motor longevity, which will provide many years of consistent blending results.
Just like in today's energy-efficiency-demanding world, a light bulb consumes about 13 watts but yields in the brightness of a 60 Watt light bulb, an OMNIBLEND 3 hp energy-efficient motor consumes less energy and yields in better blending results. The 3 hp OMNI blender is equivalent to the power of the Vita Mix 5200 blender or the Vita Mix 4500 Turbo Blender.
The OMNIBLEND V (our favorite design because of its variable multi-speed control and timer functions) comes in Black color. It is shown in black to the right while the OMNI 1 is shown the OLIVE-GRAY color. THe OMNI V is a fine blender with Timer-settings and LOW/MED/HIGH speed settings. We like the gradual speed increase-capability.
Together with the TAMPER STICK / TOOL, which the OMNIBLEND V Blender comes with, these two basically should be inseparable. The tamper (wood dowel) helps with the blending and speeds the blending process up for you, just in case you need to push down on the ingredients. Issues at times with just about any blenders are ice cubes, large-size ingredients/ apples, oranges, etc. The OMNI motor is an energy efficiency power tool. We thoroughly tested the OMNI V blender against the Vita Mix Vita Prep Commercial 3 hp blender (1005). Of course it was not a fair test.
Who is the OMNIBLEND V 3 HP Blender for?
The OMNIBlend V, although it has a 3 hp self-compensating energy-efficient motor, it does not run as powerful as the 3 hp commerical Vita Mix Giant. Regardless, the purchase price at $ 250 plus shipping in the USA is so fantastic. It makes up the difference in a heart be
at. The Vita Mix Commercial 3 hp blender (1005 Vita Prep) costs $ 495 incl shipping. And certainly, the 3 hp Vita Mix, and even the 3 hp Blendtec HP3A blender are stronger blenders than the OMNI 3 hp blender, and for those people who can afford them, go for it. The OMNIBLEND V is basically for those people who would have bought the Montel Health Master (Rusty-Leaky) Blender, or the Vita Mix TurboBlend 4500 Blender.
The OMNI V blender is now available with a black base. It is packaged with the container that is marked 50oz, which is really a 2 liter 64oz polycarbonate container, and which has an improved multi-function - purpose cutting blade assembly for better blending quality. (See and compare the blades below) With the OMNI Container you will be able to blend all, wet, dry, and frozen ingredients. The blade, nut, container, lid, tamper, and drive socket are all parts that are 100% interchangeable with the Vita Mix 5200 and Vita Mix 4500 Turboblend blenders parts and components. This means, you can even acquire the Tritan BPA-Free 64 oz Vita Mix container and use that with our OMNI blender as well. See our various package-deals below on the bottom of this page.
Power Evaluation
Regarding our power evaluation, we have determined in our testing that the OMNI V blender results in the raw smoothies, soups, patee's, and puree's of a blending quality equal or better than blended with the Vita Mix 5200 2 hp blender or the Vita Mix TurboBlend 4500 Blender. And you know that the Vita Mix 4500 has to be advertised (MAP) at $ 399.95 and the Vita Mix 5200 costs $ 449 plus sales tax. While money is not everything when it comes to quality, the OMNI Blender is sold at $ 250 plus shipping, although it is really a $ 400 blender. The main difference in Price is the Brand Name Recognition of Vita Mix versus OMNI and that Vita Mix blenders, before they hit the consumer level, have 3 or 4 distribution levels. All of these blenders should in our opinion cost below $ 300.00. After all, production cost is below $ 100.
About Warranty
We offer now (starting as of March 24, 2010) a 3 years standard limited warranty for the Omni V blender base and container. If you choose a Vita Mix container, it has its own warranty, issued by Vita Mix Corporation, which is a 1 year limited Warranty. If Vitamix will their warranty into your face because you bought an OMNI blender with a Vitamix container, we will gladly take a look to overriding their warranty. After all, it is against the law to void ones warranty because the product is co-sold with or in connection to the competitor's fitting brand or product (see Anti-Trust Violations). The improved blade in the OMNI Blender container that we supply has also a 1 year warranty.
Also, warranty is a manufacturer's way of promising that the consumer will not have any problems with the equipment purchased in respect to workmanship, faulty material or installation / assembly. If you use the blender every day, and if there is something incorrectly assembled or a faulty material / part has been used, you will be able to make a reclamation immediately. You see, factories, such as Vita Mix, etc. who offer even as much as a 7 years warranty know that you the consumer in all likelihood will not use the blender (60% change according to statistics based on research) and therefore you will likely never make a warranty claim. And for that you are paying an extra $ 100 to $ 150.00. The upgraded warranties are for manufacturers and distributors pure profit.
OMNIBlend I and V Blender Review in comparison with the Vita Mix Vita Prep 1005 / 3 hp blender
| Above left to right: Vita Mix Vita Prep 1005/3 hp blender, OMNIBlend V 3 hp Blender with 2 hp blending results-equivalency, and the GREY model OMNIBLEND I with the energy-efficient 3 hp motor and tamper stick. OMNIBLEND V Blender, 3 hp Motor, (50oz Markings) 2 liter 64oz polycarbonate container, multi-function cutting blade assembly (fits Vita Mix containers), and you can add the BPA-FREE Tritan 64oz Vita Mix container to your package. Total $ 250.00 plus Shipping in USA 48. | Blender Review We are selling the OMNI V blender (in Black) right in the middle of this picture to the left! |
You can tell on the workmanship and the high grade stainless steel materials used to make these blades that the manufacturer presents a fine product produced with much care and quality in mind. Compare with the Health Master review. You will see what we mean. | BLADESThe image to the left shows the Blade comparison (Cutting Unit or Blade Assembly) between the Vita Mix Brand and the OMNI Brand. The Vita Mix blade here is the WET-BLADE while OMNI has an improved engineered and designed multi-purpose / multi-function cutting blade assembly. You can use the Omni blade for wet, dry, and ice, whether you use it in the OMNIBlend blender containers or in your Vita Mix containers (fitting the Vita Mix 5200, 4500 TurboBlend, Vita Mix Prep 2 hp and 3 hp blenders, etc). Also, the Vita Mix blade (right above) fits into the retention nut (bottom plate) and the OMNI cutting unit (blade assembly) fits into the Vita Mix retention nut, as can be seen in this image above. The gasket (orange is Vita Mix and black is Omni) are also completely interchangeable. The Vita Mix retention nut weighs twice as much as the bottom nut/plate from OMNI. this makes the container little lighter, which benefits in shipping cost savings and container handling ease. We pass on all savings to our customers! |
Above you see the OMNI assembly plate with the male-socket of the blade cutting unit - assembly installed in the OMNI 64 oz container (Container not available). To the right you see the OMNI Cutting Unit in the OMNI bottom plate. | The OMNI blade is specially designed from high-grade forged stainless steel to increase The blade to the right here is the Vita Mix blade / cutting unit. It is made of equal quality, simpler engineered though, as the OMNI blade. And you have to deal and differentiate between Wet, Dry, and the ICE blade assemblies. The OMNI Blade is an all-in-ONE multi-purpose cutting unit! |
Left, we are showing a closeup of the OMNI I blender (not available). The blender base weighs about 8 pounds while the Vita Mix 1005 Vita Prep 3 weighs 10 pounds. The weight difference is not so important since both of these blenders are very sturdy and are equipped with a 3 hp motor. JTC suggests in the user manual and also stated on the blenders to put your hand on the container top / lid during the blending procedure to keep the entire blender from possible moving. It does not move though. During testing, we have blended with and without hand on the container and the blender(s) did not move. We suggest that you always practice this with all of your blenders anyway, no matter what brand, make, or model you use. Safety FIRST, should always be on your mind. | To the left is the OMNI I 3 hp energy efficient self compensating blender base with the 64 oz Polycarbonate Container and improve multi-cutting tool. (Or you can get the Anyway, back to the topic; to the left is the OMNI I blender with the Vita Mix Tritan container- see the blade and in the front of the container bottom you can see the ventilation opening that the Vita Mix containers have (The OMNI blender does not have that). We do not sell the OMNI 64oz container as seen on the black OMNI V blender above (this is just a comparison and demonstration to show that the Vita Mix container fits on the OMNI blenders). |
To the right is a closeup of the OMNI V blender with the Vita Mix Tritan VM 15856 container and the Vita Mix blade. The OMNI V is a fine blender. We have compared the Vita Prep 3 against the OMNI V blender and its 3 hp motor (OMNI I and OMNI V have the same motor). The OMNI V performs slightly better than the OMNIBlend I blender. It is cool to be able to put the entire blender assembled with container under your kitchen cabinet. The 1.5 liter container (see below) brings lots of value to the plate, especially with the interchangeability between these two and the Vita Mix Containers | The OMNIBLEND V Blender keypad features 35, 60, and 90 second timer options. Basically you push any of these buttons and the 3 hp blender will turn on in the high-speed setting (self-compensating). Then when the time is over, the blender turns off automatically. |
Here to the left, is the latest green smoothie in blending. The ingredients blend to a very fine and smooth texture, breaking down cell-walls and therefore the ingredients to their cellular level. This yields to a greater nutrient absorption rate. The 3 hp motor, the same in both, the OMNI I and the OMNI V Blender, is equally fast as the 2 hp Vita Mix Blenders, but not as strong as the Blendtec HP3A and the Vita Mix 3 hp blender. But the OMNI V Blender costs over $ 100 to $ 200 less than these blenders. | May I refer back to the Health Master blender review? Remember the flax all over and the rather poor job the Health Master did? (Sorry Montel). The OMNI V blender emulsifies the flax, chia seeds, raspberry and strawberry seeds into small and invisible smothie components. Of course the Vita Mix 3 hp blender does it faster. But I can't just disregard the tremendous the OMNI blender price point benefit at especially $ 250. |
Normally, and we have done so for nearly 2 years, we use the 3 hp Vita Mix Vita Prep 1005 for all of our hot raw soups, pate, puree, ice-cream and raw fresh fruit or vegetable smoothies. And to tell you the honest truth, the Vita Mix Vita Prep 3 has more torque; it is more powerful than the OMNI blender (at $ 495.00) My wife asked me to put the Vita Mix Vita Prep 3 back into the kitchen. But again, wow, for about 1/2 the cost, many consumers are going to be happy with the 3 hp OMNI V blender that yields in a 2 to 2.5 hp torque. | Please notice above the smooth texture. You cannot see any of the chia seeds, flax seeds. A picture is worth a 1000 words! |
The OmniBlend V according to our tests make a fine smoothie, pate, puree, etc. Of course the 3 hp Vita Mix Commercial blender does it faster. But the OMNI Blenders are about 1/2 the money. Notice the creamy smooth texture. Nuts and Goji Berries are not easy to blend. The Goji Berries have very small seeds. | During the blending of one of my favorite raw fruit smoothies, I wondered what the vortex looks like. You can see the blade down there. I used the OMNI container for this smoothie so I could experience the blade performance first hand. A Vita Mix Blade and Container Vortex does not look any different / better. |
Then I grade organic carrots, mix them with sauerkraut, red beet at times, and other veggies and roots that hang around in the fridge. My favorite sauce, high in antioxidants, lots of Vitamin C, and lacto-fermented juices, enhances my salad that I am enjoying every day. I was diagnosed with Colon Cancer last year. I am trying to keep a balanced lifestyle and consume at least 50% raw. | |
I put some of my favorite lacto-fermented fresh carrot / sauerkraut salad on it. Even now my mouth is getting all watery. I have to say, the OMNI Blender did a fine job. It was quick and painless! | If you want to get the recipe of this delicious garlic, almond, red pepper, pate, click here.... My wife is the genius though. I am just the blender Techy. |
Are you not already excited with us together about this interchangeability? The OMNI Blenders are of great quality. I wish they would be little stronger though. But for $ 250, these are great high performance blenders and the price makes up the difference in power! | I enjoy working at home with my wife. She cooks and learns all those fun and healthy raw smoothie and soup, etc... recipes and I get to try out lots of different blenders The blenders, like the Vita Mix, Blendtec, and Waring blenders are all great. It is time though to offer to the Consumers something more economical. I believe we have found it with the OMNI Blender. $ 250 plus shipping, and we stand behind. Our reputation is backing it! |
