Blender Sound Enclosure (aka Blender Noise Enclosure)
Fits the Blendtec HP3A, Total Blender, EZ Blender, and also available for the Vitamix 5200 style blenders!
Have you ever considered a Sound Enclosure for your blender? High Performance Blenders are not quiet; some are noisier than others. We measured 105 dB with the ICB7 20
AMP smoother and 99 dB with the Blendtec HP3A. The Waring 3.5 hp blenders are on the 89 to 95 dB lower side, but are still too noisy for most children and some elderly people with hearing aid.
A 3 hp blender or a 2 hp blender, and certainly a commercial 20 amp 3.5 hp blender smoother out-screams most babies. When babies are sleeping and you turn on your high performance blender, you will certainly experience sound comparisons first hand. Sound enclosures are often considered. The best sound enclosure experience we had was with the Q-Series, Q for Quiet, the Blendtec 20 AMP Q... in other words. It is worth the money, if you have it. It reduces the noise level by over 50 %.
The Blendtec 20 AMP Smoother sound enclosure is also still very effective which reduces the 105 dB to about 65 to 70 dB. This makes a big difference. What you need to however consider and weigh in is the cost factor, the noise for 15 seconds a day or ... If you make however soups daily, and blend other ingredients into smoothies, like we do at home, 4 to 5 times a day, a sound enclosure comes in rather handy. And they don't have to be as expensive as you see them often advertised at $ 200+.
Let me also caution you right of the bat; with sound enclosures, you are normally looking at commercial blenders for restaurants in excess of $ 900 to 1,000 and up to $ 1,700+. If you can justify that for your residential purpose, it will certainly be worth it. Sound Enclosures made by some manufacturers can be seen below. And they are also the most popular blenders with sound enclosures. Vitamix has a sound enclosure available that fits the Vita Mix 5200 and alike - kind designs. It costs over $ 200.00. Our Sound Enclosure Designs are practical and also very inexpensive. You can either learn to build it yourself with the material kits we supply or you can buy an already assembled Sound Enclosure from us with a warranty. Our prices start at $ 85.00

We do Custom Work for our customers
Prices of sound enclosures are coming down and the quality is better. The designs are going to be improved, more user friendly, and not only available or made for commercial use. We make sound enclosures, and we have even a custom capability. We can design sound enclosures specifically for you, if you take 10 blender sound enclosure boxes at a time. Call 801-623-3225 or email us for more information.
When speaking of quality, the issue here is not just the sound reduction, but also the workmanship, the thickness of the Acrylic, what type of acrylic is used, what bonding welding adhesive is used, how the sound enclosure box can be used and applied in your environment. For example, some people are left handed and need the door open to the right. We can adjust for that. Others are using to blenders next to each other...we can build you one box for both. Or if our customer wants more or less ventilation ares, we can modify the design as well.
Personally, we really are not too fond of the Vita Mix Whisper Blender or the also top-opening sound enclosure box designed for the Blendtec Smoother, ABC, and/or Quite Series. These take lots of space and you cannot put it on a counter top space with cabinets over the counter top. They are mostly for commercial applications. But even at commercial locations, space is sometimes rare. That is why customization is so important.
