Noise/Sound Enclosure Box; fits the Vita Mix Blenders

Which Blenders fit into this Sound Enclosure Box?

Product Description & Use and Care:

The Sound Enclosure Box is 9 1/2" wide by 10" deep and 20 1/2" tall. Its total net weight is about 7 pounds. The material is made from 3/16" thick Acrylic. The top features a lid that opens to the left, allowing the user to access the Vita Mix blender to add more ingredients and/or use the tamper during operation. The front door allows you to load and unload the container from the blender in the sound enclosure. By so doing, you simply open the front door and grab the Vita Mix container by the handle, move it upwards about 1 inch (this will open the lid upwards). Then move the container out by slightly dipping it towards the front.

We installed a front top bar and panel for stability (clear in the picture left above  and better visible bottom right). The front bottom panel adds also stability to the sound box. The door access in the front gives you perfect load/unload and blender control. The keypad is easy accessible. Once you turn on the blender, ready for soup speed, close the sound enclosure box door and have fun watching the blending process.

The blender factory has advised us to allow ample ventilation so the blenders won't overheat while operating inside a sound enclosure. These ventilation areas are on the left and right side panels on the bottom 3/8" inches by 9 1/2" inches. Either side of the ventilation areas can be used to exit the power cable. Our design in our opinion is adequate for the ventilation (see the warranty and disclaimer section). If you are concerned, you can make these ventilation areas bigger, or request a custom modification of your assembled sound enclosure box, or the parts kit you desire to buy from us. And if you have your own design, well, you are welcome to copy ours with your own modification(s) and make your own box. SEE WARRANTY AND DISCLAIMER SECTION for more info. Hopefully you can tell us about your own improvements.

You may have seen and perhaps even used sound enclosures that opened to the top in order to remove the blender container. The advantage of our design,  the Blender Noise/Sound enclosure opening towards the front and top to add and remove, working around your needs, is that shelves could be placed above within 10+ inches (subject to custom designs...). It gives the consumer / user control over the sound enclosure. If you wanted to remove the container through the top lid, simply just do it.

Each door / lid has been installed with 2 acrylic hinges. All seems and joints are welded / bonded together with a IPS Corporation non-flammable # 3(TM) Adhesive Solvent.

And now, if you would like the design of the sound enclosure, you can consider 3 things:

  1. Go to your local lumber store, buy the acrylic and cut it up yourself according to our plan or yours and build it yourself
  2. Buy our parts kit with instructions and receive also free build consulting, and then assemble it yourself
  3. Or we can assemble the sound enclosure for you and you have no hassle - We offer Assembly Warranty and extended Warranty!

Wash the acrylic with liquid soap and warm water carefully, using a soft sponge or towel. Don't use anything that could scratch the acrylic surface.

Delivery and Unpacking

The assembled blender noise/sound enclosure box is going to be delivered about 95% wrapped in its original protective paper / vinyl. When unpacking don't use a large knife that could penetrate the protective paper and scratch the acrylic. Also, use much care unwrapping it slowly. Do not use excessive force. See Build Instructions on the bottom to learn about things to do and what not to do!

A word of caution & Disclaimers

Building or assembling the blender sound enclosure box is like making cookies. It is not difficult to do if you follow the instructions. It would be beneficial if you had acrylic assembly experience (for example with the IPS # 3(TM) Solvent), it would help you to assemble a beautiful box. If you mess it up, you have to keep looking at it for years to come. To the other hand, there is a significant money savings when assembling your own blender sound enclosure box. It does take a good 1 hour to assemble. And then you have to let the sound enclosure cure for about 24 to 30 hours.

Usual mistakes or problems occur when not experienced working with acrylic and bonding adhesive are: run-off that results in cosmetic blemishes, falling apart or not holding together very well, and having to redo the installation of doors and the hinges may become necessary. Remember, once acrylic has bonded and has cured, only a hammer will break off e.g. wrong installed hinges. And that will really destroy your box. So be careful and follow our installation instructions. And if not sure, let us do it for you. Please note, we are not responsible for you messing up the parts kit and no refunds will be given if you decide to assemble the blender sound enclosure box parts kit yourself.

USE AND CARE

The front door allows you to load and unload the blender Jar / Container to and from the blender in the blender sound enclosure box. You simply open the front door on the right towards the left (hinge side custom modification is possible) and grab the Blendtec Container / Jar by the handle, and move it upwards about 1 inch (this will open the top lid upwards). Then move the container out by slightly dipping the top towards the back and the bottom towards you. And when you use it, you will, see it is really not as complicated.

We installed a front top bar and panel for stability. The front bottom panel adds also stability to the sound box. The door access in the front gives you perfect load/unload and blender control. The keypad is easy reachable.

The factory has advised us to allow ample ventilation so the blenders won't overheat while operating inside a sound enclosure. These ventilation areas are on the left and right side panels on the bottom 3/8" inches by 9 1/2" inches. Either side of the ventilation areas can be used to exit the power cable. Please note, we do not guarantee whether the ventilation area is sufficient. A blender may overheat whether or not you are using a sound enclosure box. It depends on 'how' use, frequency of use, what ingredients are used, how old the blender is and so on... many variables exist. Our design in our opinion is adequate for the ventilation.
