20 AMP Smoother Q - Quiet Series
The 20 amp Smoother or ICB-7 Blendtec blender is in most cases for commercial applications. It is equipped with a strong motor, and much longevity. The blender also comes with 30 blending cycle programs. In most cases, most restaurants or even consumers just have a use for 3 to 5 programs (smoothies, soup, ice drinks, making ice cream, and maybe sauces). For those commercial applications that require a customized program, the user can purchase for $ 150 an interface connection to program your own blending cycle program on your computer. One other major advantage is the beautiful and yet also very effective (50% reduction) sound enclosure that comes with the blender package. You can get the blender motor with either 2 64oz containers, 1 64oz container, or 1 96oz container and 1 64oz container.
In most cases for consumer home use, this blender is an over-kill. Yes it is strong, very strong. And no, it does not necessarily blend noticeably different or better than the Vita Mix 3 hp commercial blender. But I feel of course more confident that this nearly $ 1000 dollar lawn-mower monster with a super-duper sound enclosure will handle the jobs for large families really well. After all, if you have a large family or your 10 to 20 daily smoothie projects, it might be worth it to spend a ton. Remember, blend a ton means you need to spend a ton. And it would be definitely advantageous to have a long-lasting blender. What is an over-kill for one, who may use the blender just once a day, is most likely adequate for those who use it more often.
Before you decide for the 20 AMP Blendtec monster, consider however the Vita Mix 3 hp commercial blender, and ask yourself if it is not enough for you. The Blendtec monster may be great and impressive, but there are some cons as well, like with everything. The draw back is the space issue, it requires about 26 inch clearance to the top, it is heavy, and not so easy to clean with the sound enclosure around. Of course it is not noisy with the sound enclosure, but you do have more to clean when you spill. The programming is set, pretty much, and you do not have a manual operating option with this blender. And the containers are Blendtec quality, what else can I say! These containers are not bad, but according to tests (and my opinion), the Vita Mix containers and their blade assemblies are stronger. And last but not lease, you need to make sure your electric outlet can handle the 20 amp requirement.
Other than that, go right ahead, and get this monster. It will make your smoothie dreams become reality.

Blendtec ICB-7 Symbiotic 20 AMP Blender

I actually find that gesture little unappealing. If he were at least in his speedos some people could get a could laugh out of it. Anyway, the same blender, I can help you get it to you for under $ 800 and that with 1 64oz regular jar plus the wildside jar (76oz formerly known as the fake 96oz jar), which has the 4 inch blade in it. The importance is that you call me on that.
Another issue to consider, the ICB7 Symbiotic is equipped with the HP3A programming and operating panel. This means, you are not going to get the programmable custom feature. But the good thing is that the blender system has the pulse button and the manual up/down speed control touch buttons. You are going to need these features. See the Total and HP3A Blenders. It's the same with these, the programs are generally a pain to use when you don't have the time to learn all about it prior to using the blender.
And another issue is the noise level. The motor alone runs at about 99 dB +. This Symbiotic blender needs a sound enclosure but the original one from Blendtec (see above with the q-series) won't fit. I can make you one for about $ 100 to fit this blender.
Thanks for Blendtecing with me. They make good blenders, however there are some issues with gimmicks and false advertising...surely without bad intentions!
Call me if you want to discuss the features, operation, noise, sound enclosure issue, 20 AMP Electric plug adapter, tamper issues, etc... And most of all if you want to buy it for less than $ 800. My personal opinion is that this blender is an over-kill for most consumers. But if you a ton of money and you want to blend something really out of space, it may be worth a close to 1000$ consideration.
