Compare the 4 Best: OMNI, Vita Mix, Blendtec & Waring Blenders

2 hp blenders, 3 hp blenders, 3.5 hp blenders, commercial blenders, residential blenders, all of which are high performance blenders.

Of course there is a difference in Watts (power consumption) and AMP (power draw / torque). Some blenders have a 3 hp or 3.5 hp motor but only a 1300 Watts or 1500 Watts power consumption and a 13 or a 12.5 AMP power supply. Others have a 2 hp motor with an 11.5 amp and a 1300 Watts power supply.  And others, like the latest OMNIBlend technology, are self-compensating 3 hp blenders with a Watt range between 350 up to 2250 Watts. Now what does all of that mean?

Watts is the power energy consumption what it takes to get a certain torque or energy transferred back in some other form. The latest energy-efficient light bulbs for example, yield the brightness of a 60 Watt light bulb but are only consuming 13 Watts. The same goes now for the latest OMNIBlend technology, that being an energy-efficient one. While in the past a look on the back of a panel of a blender revealed its strength (a 950 Watt blender, a 400 Watt blender.... looking for a 1300 watt blender), the norms are changing today because of the energy-efficiency technology. The norm in respect to blenders is no longer the WATT but the actual carrot and flax-seed (blending actually anything) blending capacity. And so, we have started comparing blenders to the 3 hp Vita Mix commercial blender, the Vita Prep 1005, because it sets a new standard.

The high horsepower blenders with 3 hp motors and the 3.5 hp motors, in the cases of the Vita Mix Vita Prep 3 and the Waring MX1050XT, etc... are simply throttled down or have a power limit so they cannot over-exert themselves. They have a higher torque than a 2 hp blender. Other blenders such as the Blendtec ICB7 Smoother has a 20 AMP power supply with up to a 2400 Watt power consumption limit with a 3.5 hp motor, while other Smoother-s such as the 13 amp, 15 amp and 18 amp models have the same motor with a smaller power consumption limit. Look at this scenario:

Two horse carriages are going up on a hill next to each other. Both get up to the top of the hill at the same time. Both have the same load. One horse carriage is behind 2 horses and the other is behind 3 horses. Which of the team of horses do you think will be less exhausted? Of course, the one with the 3 horses.

The ideal top speed is already accomplished with the 2 hp Vita Mix 4500 TB Blender or the Vita Mix 5200 / Vita Mix Vita Prep 2. But their motors get easier exhausted and therefore overheat more likely (hypothetically speaking) than a Blendtec HP3A, Total Blender, Blendtec EZ Blender, Blendtec Connoisseur Blender, all the Blendtec Smoother-s, the Vitamix Vita Prep 1005 / 3 hp blender, and the Waring MX 3.5 hp eXtreme commercial blenders. And here it gets interesting: The blender horsepower torque also matters especially in the beginning of the blending project. A blender has to overcome a higher resistance in the beginning of the blending process than later. This is because the ingredients (e.g. ice cubes or frozen ingredients, or even fresh solids) have greater resistance when being solid and hard or of bigger size. Once the ice cubes or frozen ingredients are slush, are emulsified or smaller,  the power-draw in form of the AMPS drops. A 20 AMP Blendtec Smoother draws normally about 17 amps in the beginning and then drops down to 15 or even less amps.

It is highly valuable to have a blender that allows you to draw more power while having a stronger bigger motor that won't over-heat and will last longer. And of course the 2 hp blender is sufficient in power to break the cell walls adequately well. But it just takes about twice (or longer) as long to do the same job compared to the 3 hp blenders, and the 3.5 hp blenders.

High Performance Blenders Review

Basically all the introduced blenders are good blenders. There are pros and cons on all blenders. These pros and cons are in workmanship, blender warranties, difference in operation features (motor, cooling fans, container materials, weight, appearance, marketing strategies, hp, etc...), difference in price, etc...

Basically, all, OMNIBLEND, Vitamix, Waring and Blendtec blenders are great blenders. They are all good choices. However, consider, when learning and then picking the best blender for you, the best blender for you is the one that fits your budget and can do all or at least most of the things that you need.

I recommend that you set your own priorities according to the choices:
  • Price
  • Blending Power
  • Container material choice (BPA-Free versus non)
  • Space usage for storage - does it fit under cabinet with jar on blender?
  • Noise - how and if sound enclosure fits
  • Brand preference
  • Container size availability
You cannot say that all are important. Numerically mark each category / priority in the order of importance to you. Then call me at 801-623-3225.

The OMNIBLEND V (to the right)

is the latest budget-king of high performance blenders. Vita Mix apparently is trying to stop this blender from going to market in defense of its protected and trademarked design (so we were told). We have therefore decided to sell the OMNI V Blender (currenlty under the REI Great Blender label).

The OMNI V to the LEFT (cost $ 250 plus s&h)

Vitamix, Waring, and Blendtec blenders range from $ 300 to $ 1000. The 1000$ blender has of course more features and power than than the $ 300  high performance blender. It is always great to buy the best. The American Way made us wanting the best always, even if we don't need it. That is generally our philosophy in a nutshell. We think that consumers should buy exactly that what is needed. With the help of eBay, you can always put your used blender on the market for sale and then upgrade to a more powerful, pricier blender. We would like to help you make a good high performance blender purchase decision that will satisfy you for a long time with the performance of your blender.

Blendtec Total Blender and the  HP3A High Performance Blender, also referred too as the Champ or Table-Top Blender:

Blendtec is a K-Tec production of Orem, Utah established about 30 years ago. Originally, the company offered commercial blenders exclusively. A demand arose for residential use. To accommodate the market, Blendtec created the HP3A line, basically the same as the commercial blenders. 3 Hp Blenders with over 30,000+ RPM’s (from the will-it-blend website) says it all. The company claims that the Total Blender Champ, HP3A Blender blends it all in one container, from iPod, golf club, golf balls, diamonds, charcoal, chairs, phones, clothes, to vegetables, fresh fruits, wheat and grains…

The one container that mixes its vitamins from fruit, vegetables, and solids such as grain and rice, nuts, and seeds comes in a 64-ounce size, with lid and a hole and cap. The blender with container in place fits under most cabinets on top of the counter top, thus the name  also "Tabletop Blender”. The motor is multi-speed with automatic-variable speed adjustment and pre-programmed speeds and intervals.  According to  Blendtec, the intervals are designed to help mix and blend ingredients without the need for a tamper. Highly sophisticated with electronic components, this power house competes rapidly with other Vitamix Blenders and Waring blenders.

HP3A 3 hp Blendtec Blender (Free Color Choices: White, Black, Red, Tan)

We tested the HP3A Blendtec Blender against the Total Blender and found that the Total Blender is little simpler to use because of the descriptive blender function written words on the keypad. The Total Blender has however only 16 blending cycles (if the word 'only' is applicable here). The HP3A can be offered for a little less money. Tampers are for free made by 123Vita, LLC because we don't want you to use a fork when you need to push down on the ingredients. A tamper is however not needed if you use the blender programming and ingredients according to the instructions available on DVD and in the free cookbook supplied.

We are also comparing the Waring and the Vitamix blenders, and have determined the pros and cons of these high performance blender brands. In our opinion, all of them are powerful smoothie makers. Not to forget, the Waring 3.5 hp blenders, or in other words, the Waring sturdy-power-house, comes in very competitive with the rather inexpensive 3 hp Blendtec Blender, also starting in the mid $ 300's. Vitamix is another great competitor. The 3 hp blender, Vita Mix Vita Prep 3 costs about 20% more than the HP3A, but its controls are for most people easier to use and the Vita Mix Vita Prep 1005 3 hp blender is really about 5 to 10% stronger. It makes finer smoothies.

Depending on lifestyle and living arrangements and also your budget, one or the other may fit your needs better. You may want to choose wisely. The more you learn before the final purchase, the better. With the 30 day money back and return guarantee you can always check out both main models and compare them. Some of the pros and cons are listed here.

The Blendtec 3 hp blenders are worldwide known for its shear force blending capability, also famous as the Blendtec Champ, Total Blender, and table top raw food blenders as 220 volt blenders. We don't carry the 220 volt version. Blendtec does not recommend using a voltage adapter. The company says it will void the warranty. We would like the Consumers make their own decision. We believe sophisticated electronic adapters will work just fine. The Blendtec Blenders are easy to clean and to maintain.

Consider Container Replacement Costs:

Although that quality and price is really relative, the Blendtec container 64 oz size with 3 inch blade and lid is far the most affordable in replacement cost. You can purchase this container for about 60$  plus shipping in USA 48 states. The Waring and Vita Mix blender containers cost about twice as much. This does not mean that the Blendtec is only half as good as the other brands. The Blendtec Jar is sufficiently strong and is price-engineered to withstand major impact. It is dishwasher safe and if dropped on the floor does not break.  The Vitamix and Waring blender containers are more expensive because they are over-engineered. There is your cost difference.

Of course, the Waring and Vita Mix Containers outlast the Blendtec container. The blade in the Vita Mix container, for example is exchangeable at about $ 65 to $ 70 while you can replace the entire blendtec jar. But the Vita Mix blade bearing also usually outlasts the blendtec blender. It may however not be necessary to use a blender as much. To the other hand, consider the fogging up of the container material through its normal wear and tear. In a restaurant when blending smoothies in front of customers, it give a more esthetic appeal when the container looks nice, neat, and clean. The blendtec blender container can give that impression inexpensively. But did you know, Vita Mix container shells are also available, and for rather little money. Just reuse your good blade and put it into your new container shell at about $ 40.00

If you think about it, a 2 liter mug or pitcher, for $ 60 or $ 70 and an all-in-one blade and lid, it's a good deal. We receive lots of restaurant replacement orders of the 64oz Blendtec commercial containers. The K1 or J1 fit the Smoother, EZ Blender, Q-Series, the Connoisseur, HP3A and the Total Blender. We carry also containers for other Blendtec blenders on special order, which are similar in design but have a slightly different base. The Vitamix containers that we carry fit all the Vitamix 5200, VIta Mix 5000 Blender, Vitamix Pro Series, Vita Mix 4500 Turbo Blender, Vitamix Vita Prep 2 hp and 3 hp blender...

Some buyers make their decision purely on replacement costs of the containers. We recommend that you estimate your future container consumption.  Depending on the use you may consider to replace your container every 2 to 3 years. A restaurant or smoothie bar probably needs to replace a container every 6 months while maybe a household with daily 3 to 5 smoothie blends may replace it every 12 months. It is not that the containers really break. They just wear out and are most of the time are then (after 1 year restaurant use) worn and un-presentable.  When the material is fogged up such a container appears dirty to a customer. And other times, if you have heavy ice blending cycles, the blade may simply wear out or even the ball-bearings may be done. The normal warranty is 1 year for any of these containers if bought as replacement. Blendtec offers a 3 year residential use warranty on the HP3A blender and the container that comes with the initial purchase. The Blendtec blade gear at times may disconnect from the blade shaft and then not work anymore. This will fall under warranty. There are also Blendtec Commercial Containers that come with a 6 months warranty for about $5.00 less. We have found, that these containers in heavy restaurant use still outlast a year in most cases.

Vita Mix offers for grain grinder enthusiasts a 32 oz container with dry blade, extra lid and a wholegrain cookbook for about $ 144.00. (At times you may be able to get this VM 15845 dry-blade 32oz container with cookbook for $ 120 including shipping.) Blendtec promotes its 64oz container with dual wing-tipped blade to do it all. It is nice to be able to also blend or grind wheat, rice, etc.... The wet-blade does it however in the Vitamix wet-blade container anyway. According to Vitamix, the wet blade however wears out faster if you use it for grain / wheat grinding all the time. Their engineers have even designed ice blades. So, of course there is something to it. -

For the one who wants to save money while grinding wheat, maybe you should consider buying the Blendtec blender, or just stick to the wet-blade container for now. Maybe a nifty residential home bakery might want to consider a dedicated wheat grinder anyway. Don't get me wrong, the dry-blade container from Vitamix does a good job, but a wheat grinder can do the wheat much finer. But then again, you are looking at more money if you want to buy your wheat grinder from K-Tec or L'Equip, etc... They cost about $ 170 and upwards. So, here you have it!

The black 3 hp residential Blendtec HP3A or Total Blender is $ 80 less than the white Vitamix 5000, Vita Mix 5200, or the Vitamix VP 2 hp blender.

The Vitamix 5200 to the left sells in the $450 to $ 650 range depending on your choice of wet or dry blade container and jar sizes and quantity of containers in the package you choose with your initial purchase. Or you can buy both, the wet container for fruits and vegetables, and the dry container with blade, specifically designed to blend and grind wheat. Any accessories and/or jars are available on our website for later.

The features of the Vita Mix 5200 Blender product line are the 64-ounce Eastman Tritan Polycarbonate jars and two-peak horsepower Swedish motor. It's a completely see-through blender container, which lets you see the blending process as it all happens. The motor contains a high-efficiency radial cooling fan. It also has a thermal protection system (automatic shut-off) to prevent power overload. (The Blendtec and Waring blenders, by the way, have the automatic shut-off thermal protection switch as well). The Vita Mix 2 hp blender (5200,Vita Mix 4500 Turbo, Vita Prep 2 hp etc.) can more likely overheat when preparing one soup after another. Making soup takes between 4 to 6 minutes or continuous running of the blender. (By the way, see sound enclosures, which are now available for the Vita Mix and the Blendtec Blenders)

The Vita Mix 5200, 4500 Turbo, VM Vita Prep 2 and 3 blenders' dimensions are 20-1/2" tall, 8-3/4" deep, and 7-1/4" wide, 10 lbs. 9 oz. The base comes in black or white without any up-charge. For a $ 20 up-charge you can get a red base in the 2 hp Vita Mix 5200 blender configuration. The motor is 120 volt, 60 Hz, 11.5 amps. There is a removable lid plug, which allows for adding of ingredients while the blender is running. The hardened stainless steel blade in this Vita-Mix 5200 blender (to the right) + all others have the same blade - allows for the smooth breaking down of food and ice within the container.  Imagine, if you have the Vita Mix 3 hp blender or the Blendtec HP3A blender, what the soup or smoothie outcome will be?

This 2 hp blender is already deemed ideal by the Vitamix Corporation for making juice, soup, making ice cream and grinding different grain products, when considering its top speed and torque. The speed is manually adjustable with turn-knob, and according to the manufacturer it is able to run the blade from 11 to 240 miles per hour. Practically however, the motor and the blade are slowed down by increased friction due to the double-blade and fan-drag on the motor, and that applies to the other Blenders as well.

The blending with this blender, as well as with the VP 1002 / 2 and the T 4500 2 hp Blender requires little more time to reach the equal smoothness of the sauces and smoothies compared to the Blendtec 3 hp blender or other 3 hp blender brands. The 2 hp blenders require you to put ice on top of the ingredients to cool the juices or smoothies during the longer (not that much more, jut instead 20 seconds to about 35 to 40 seconds) blending cycle. A 3 hp blender has the power to smoothie-up a smoothie in under 20 seconds and even micronize the raspberry and strawberry seeds.

Vitamix offers free shipping coupons for its often CostCo-presented cheaper 2 hp blender model, worth $ 25.00., when you buy the blender at Vitamix. The blender overheats at times if you don't practice preventive measures such as letting it rest.  We received a report that the Eastman Tritan material fogged up. Like it is with many products, in the beginnings, some kinks may occur. But the company is good enough to stand behind its products and will fix any problems.  The company only permits sales of this blender through road shows at CostCo, Sams Club, Military bases and through affiliate marketing associates. Because of its business location in the market place, the Vitamix Company charges sales tax on top of the advertised $ 449 (starting price) on every sale to wherever in the USA the high performance blender is shipped.  At the end, the 2 hp blender costs just about as much as the VP 3 hp blender. And the Blendtec 3 hp HP3A blender is even less than the Vitamix 5200. So, why not just buying the stronger and better blender?

Regarding Space: The Blendtec HP3A fits under the counter-top/cabinet space while any of the blenders from The Vita Mix models need to be placed without their Jar on top of the counter-top. This requires more space usage. In small kitchens this may be worth a consideration. By the way, the Blendtec HP3A or Total Blender runs at 95 dB and the noise level of the Vita Mix 2 hp blender (5200, 5000, 4500, bar boss, etc...) is 92 dB. The VP 3 hp blender is about 95 dB. You might want to consider a sound enclosure. We are developing sound enclosure kits now, which can be purchased starting at about $ 49.00. These sound enclosures are designed with a 3/16" FDA Acrylic and reduce the noise level to communication / speech level at about 65 to 75 dB (about 30 to 40%).

Blendtec Connoisseur 3 +hp blender with 1500 watts & 13 amp motor

Before you read on, this blender is a good one, but you would be paying more for the design to fit it into the counter-top space. Some consumers told us that they would not want to cut a hole into their expensive granite counter-top. so why buying this one? We believe that you can get a better working blender for less money.  Space-saving issues can be solved with the ICB7 20 amp blender as well. And if power is the issue, or user-friendliness, consider the Blendtec EZ Blender. It has the same power.

The Blendtec Connoisseur: This is a true table-top high performance blender with actually a 3 horsepower motor (1500 watts and 13 amps). The company really does not say how much horsepower it has. We calculated this based on the amps and watts. The high-performance-blender manufacturers tend to throttle their motors with a power supply to keep the motors from over-heating and wearing out too soon.  The Connoisseur has a beautiful design and comes with 6 pre-programmed blend cycle settings, a blue LCD-screen and a smart touch keypad.

The Blendtec connoisseur can make smoothies better than than the Vita Mix 2 hp blenders. The standard package is equipped with one 96 oz and one 64 oz jar, each with a 3 inch blade. Together with a 5 year warranty, this table top Blendtec blender is a best food processor to make fresh fruit smoothies. We can get you a much better deal than the advertised 'must' $ 650.00. Call us at 801 623 3225

The Blendtec Connoisseur , (advertised with 2 jars - 96oz & 64oz for $ 649.95) with a 3hp motor, just like 3hp blenders, can handle any ingredients from almonds, carrots, apples, raw green foods, etc. to make smoothies unlike with cheap blenders. New blenders are great, but to help you save money, you can buy blenders in the 2 hp range from us starting at $ 349.00.  The Waring 3.5 hp blenders start also already at $ 359.00. But compare carefully.

If you want to upgrade to the high power performance blender to blend your avocado seeds, go with a 3.5 + hp motor and 20 amp, a commercial blender for the price of a residential blender. Look below, the ICB7 Blendtec smoother with a 20 amp motor, 2.4 kW power supply, and the 96 oz jar with a 4 inch shear force dual wing-tipped power blade to make smoothies like you never heard off ever before. It's fast and powerful. And it looks just like the Blendtec Connoisseur.

Blendtec 20 AMP Smoother vs. Symbiotic 20 AMP ICB 7 3.5+ HP

The Lawnmower with the power to break all cell-walls for enhanced nutrient richness  $875 (incl blender and shipping) - We customize your configuration

The Blendtec Smoother with 20 amps and a 2.4kW power supply; the shear force; the only one for the money, that can drive a 4 inch power dual wing-tipped blender blade through its ingredients like a hot knife goes through butter! This blender with its 96 oz container and 4 inch blade grinds and blends avocado seeds. (no claims made about the benefits of avocado seeds)!

Don't confuse the original Blendtec 20 AMP to the left with the other after market model below to the right! The ICB7 Hybrid After-Market Model (aka Symbiotic blender) is made with the ICB7 20 AMP motor, built into the Connoisseur housing (above) and equipped with the HP3A keypad, by Blendtec, of course. It comes with the HP3A manual in the Connoisseur box with packing foam that fits good but looks funny. While you have with the original Smoother 20 AMP ICB 7 30 pre-programmed blending cycles to choose from, and the ability to interface with a PC to program your own cycles, the ICB 7 Symbiotic after-market blender comes with 25 pre-programmed blending cycles and you cannot write your own programs. Still, 25 programs is pretty cool.

A new blender, the best blender, much more powerful, and little noisier than the HP3A, Total Blender or Vitamix residential 5200, one might add, the ICB7 Blendtec smoother with the 20 amp motor can make smoothies from any seeds, any wheat, or any grains, or raw greens. It does it faster, but also noiser (in less time, one might add). It is the best food processor you can get for under $ 1000.00 with sound enclosure (the authentic Smoother). We do have however sound enclosures now for the Symbiotic blender as well, for about $ 100+.

The standard ICB 7 Symbiotic 20 AMP package (picture to the right) comes for $ 875 with  2  containers (1 96 oz w/4" blade and 1 64 oz 3 inch blade jars), including USA delivery, and you can add on a blender sound enclosure box kit for self-assembly starting at $ 60.00. The sound enclosure housing is great for multiple daily applications at home or regular commercial applications in front of consumers.

The standard ICB 7 Smoother (original package) 20 AMP blender (picture above left) comes at $ 1050.00 with sound enclosure and 1 96oz 4" blade and 1 64 oz jar. But with 2 64oz Jars with sound enclosure you can buy the original Smoother 20 AMP blender for $ 950. We can also sell you the 20 AMP original Smoother without the sound enclosure, but of course with the stand. If you are ok with cutting into your counter-top, you can sink the ICB 7 motor into the counter-top. It's a great space saver and also money saver while you have the highest possible blender power.

You will need to adapt the electrical plug or the outlet to a commercial plug. According to UL rating, it is required to equip this commercial grade blender with a commercial style outlet good to handle 20 AMP. You can purchase a 20 AMP outlet at your local hardware or lumber store.

Other combination packages start as low as $ 750.00 (1 64oz. jar with 3" blade, free shipping in USA). The 96 oz jar with 4 inch blade is currently only available with the Blendtec 20 AMP Smoother ICB7 blender deal for 950.00 (without the sound enclosure)

Nema 5-15 plug to Nema 5-20 Receptacle adapter incl.

The 5-sided 96 oz / 3 liter container with the 4 inch blade:

The 5th side generates a swirl - down-draft motion of the smoothie ingredients. This moves the ingredients towards the blade for better blending. The 96 oz - 4 inch blade-container / jar is available also separately for purchase. The container can be purchased with the 20 AMP smoother (the original Series). It does not make sense buying and/or using the 5 sided container with the 4 inch blade with any Blendtec blender less than 20 amps / 3.5 hp yield. The friction / resistance cannot be overcome with the 18 amp blender smoother without flipping a circuit breaker in your fuse box. If you want to use a 3 liter container, use the 3 inch blade container. All blenders pretty much from the Blendtec series can handle that.

Blendtec Smoother: 13 & 15 & 18 AMPS

(Price range between $ 875 to 1050)

The Blendtec Smoother Series is available with 13, 15, 18, and 20 amps power supplies. We  are also now offering the 13 amp unit. It has more power then the HP3A3 hp blender or the Connoisseur blender. For those users who want to get a blender with a 3.5 hp motor and sound enclosure, but don't need the end-speed, the 13 or 15 amp Blendtec Smoothers are great. There is a price break due to the lower power supply. Power-wise, where it gets really interesting is with 15 amps, 18 amps, and the 20 amps

These are of course commercial blenders. Sound enclosures are a thing for retail kitchens where the sound of the blender could lead to disturbances. Normally the standard package comes with sound enclosure. If you want to save some money, we will gladly buy the Sound Enclosure off your hands for $ 50.00. Or you can try selling it on eBay yourself, probably for $ 80 approximately.

The amps make a difference in the torque and in the smoothie or puree result. We can safely suggest that the more amps the more power is pushed towards the motor driving it to its fullest capacity in speed and overcoming the resistance of the ingredients.

Blendtec does not even mention how much hp (horsepower this blender has). It is not significant. What matters are the amps. And this is what the Blendtec Smoother, just like with the Smoother ICB7 20 Amp blender stands for. In horsepower strength the 20 amp smoother is in deed equally effective as the ICB7, however with the difference that it comes with a sound enclosure and it costs about $ 200 + more. And then of course, the ICB7 has something the Smoother 20 does not come with, the 5-sided blender jar with the 4 inch blade.

Waring Blenders

All of the MX....XT Extreme commercial blenders from Waring are 3.5 hp blenders. Their power is tremendous. They all have the 13 amp and 1500 watt power supply throttle that adds up to motor longevity. It delivers shear power force up to its limits and is build very strong. The Waring MX1000XT, MX1050XT, MX1100XT, MX1200XT, MX1300XT, MX1500XT, and so on...Blenders differentiate in operational features.

The Waring MX1000XT 3.5 hp blender  is as simple as a dual speed and on/off switch while the  Waring MX1300XT 3.5 hp blender comes with  4 pre-and re-programmable settings with electronic keypad touch buttons equipped with pulse and even with countdown 30 seconds timer. The same blender as the MX1300XT is also available with a Sound Enclosure, the Waring 3.5 hp blender MX1500XT. The Waring blenders are competitively priced about 10 to 20% below its competitors. Shipping weight is however about 20% more. you will get a very sturdy powerful high performance blender. Robust operation and durability are its middle names.

Waring comes with usually with a 3 year warranty on the motor and everything else a 2 year parts and labor.  We have never heard of a Waring blender break down. The company is over 60 years old and so far as we have been able to find out, no shady deals are known to us.

Picture left : Waring MX1200XT (Price USD $ 479.50)

The commercial waring containers from the 3.5 hp blender series are inter-changeable with the Vita Mix blenders. The Vita Mix containers also fit the Waring 3.5 hp blenders. This makes a restaurant use and/or commercial kitchen application easier if a chef operates both brands.

Vita Mix container base to the left above and the Waring 3.5 hp blender container base to the right.

The Vita Mix containers fit on the Waring blenders below. And the Waring 64 oz container also fit on the Vita Mix blenders. There is a slight difference in the design of the blade. It may be debatable whether the Vita Mix blender container blade is slightly better in some uses. It is not necessary to have a dry-blade for some applications and a wet blade for other applications. If you are a bread-baker, get yourself a professional flour mill or wheat grinder. It seems that the Waring blender runs sturdier with little less RPM, but it has much more and significant more torque to get for example through avocado pits / seeds (if you must) than the 2 hp Vita Mix 5200 blender.

We were not able to measure the RPM's between these blenders. We were however able to compare the Vita Mix 3 hp blender with the 3.5 hp Waring blender MX1200XT. We found that the Waring Blender noise level is at about 92 dB and the Vita Mix VP 3 is at 95 dB. This could mean that it does not run as fast, but it may be incorrect, at least until we are able to get the right RPM measuring tool.

These Waring blenders stand their ground and hold up against Vita-Mix and Blendtec comparisons very well,  when considering sturdiness.  Depending on your need, choose the right blender for the desired application.
