A big question arises however why then the factories reduce the warranty on blenders that are designated commercial blenders over residential blenders? Possible answers are that they are equally well built. Hopefully they are not equally poor built as the residential blenders. With Vita Moo it is more apparent that the commercial blenders in the 2 hp blender power package are no different than those that are residential blenders.
For example the 2 hp cheaper blender model made by Vitamix is a commercial blender while its other very similar model, the Vita Mix 5200 blender is a residential blender sold at Costco, Sams Club, on Road Shows of other sort, at their Corporation directly and through affiliates. The warranty of the Vita Mix 5200 Blender is 7 to 10 years. When using it in a commercial setting, the company disclaims its warranty explicitly. The same goes for Blendtec, the HP3A or Total Blenders, when used commercially, the residential warranty is waived. And that makes sense, otherwise restaurants would assumingly pay less money and to get the same usage. At Vita Mix however, the residential Vita Mix 5200 blender costs less than its cousing the Vita Prep 2.
Plus, we believe that the warranty in many cases is a marketing gimmick. Just because someone offers a greater warranty does not mean you are buying necessarily a better blender. Use please common sense.
Just a few thoughts, nothing more. Waring does not get into this problem at all, since their commercial blenders are what they are. It may all be a marketing gimick. Who knows for sure...
We would rather go by whether a blender is a 2 hp blender, a 3 hp blender, or a 3.5 hp blender. It can't get any more powerful than a 3.5 hp blender with a 2.4 kw power supply and 20 amps, for example the ICB7 by Blendtec. But even the Waring 3.5 hp blenders, although they don't have the amps and watts to yield in true 3.5 hp. Waring is heavy built and very durable. It may not be as fast as the Blendtec Commercial 3.5 hp blender or even as the Vita Mix Vita Prep 3 hp blender, but it is sufficient for consistent applications and providing longevity.
